We took the kiddos to their 2nd County Fair! Saturday afternoon (we thought it wasn't too hot) so we headed out to the fair. We got there to discover it was infact HOT! But we went ahead we walked around a little & checked out the tractors & animals. The kids LOVE animals. We got to see cows, sheep, pigs, chickens, bunnies, goats & more!
Oh... and I promise, we liked the GREEN tractors best. Just happened to catch a picture by this one!

She loves animals!
Some other kids' parents bought some ice cream cones filled with feed for the animals. But their kids were scared. So they let Livi & Hayden have the cones!
Oh she loved them! She would have stayed there all day!
She really loved them THIS much. Is in sanitary to kiss goats & rams? A few of them even kissed her back!
We did have one mishap. Livi's love of animals almost cost her her fingers! The little donkey thought her fingers were to eat. He clamped down HARD. I was doing something with Logan, who prefered to run from animal to animal to animal than hold still & pet one. Jeff was pulling Hayden's fingers out of that same cage...and snap. All I knew was Livi was crying. Then Jeff was prying the donkey's mouth open! She had some teeth marks on her fingers for an entire day. Jeff was expecting to pull out a bloody, fleshy mess. Thats how hard he had her in his grip. I didn't even see it until it was 85% over. But I'm glad we had no long-term injuries. And that she walked over & still wasn't scared of the goats! We decided it was TOO hot... so we left & hit up the pool. It wasn't very busy there & for a little while we actually had the whole baby pool to ourselves!!
After a good swim, Jeff & I decided we needed fair-burgers for supper. We stopped at home, got cleaned up & the kids had supper (because there is zero chance they'd eat anything there). And then we went BACK to the fair. Had supper & walked around. The kids really enjoyed watching the rides. I think Hayden would have LOVED to go on this one.
But as we watched, a little boy a little older than our kids tried to jump off while it was spinning. Somehow got out of the buckle & all. So we rather just watched!
But we did ride the carousel!! Logan wasn't a fan. He refused to sit on a horse :( He actually refused to even let me hold him. Jeff & I had to trade kids!
Hayden & Livi had a blast (though this picture of Livi doesn't quite show it) And they did SO good. Held on & sat nice. Hayden let go once, but only to clap about his excitement!
This is how much Hayden enjoyed it, this was his response to getting off!
We had a fun Saturday!
Looks like a FUN day!! Lucky kids!
